2007 May - Medial Work I.
Introduction to the world of mediums
March 31st – April 1st, 2007.
“What is all this about again?” several people had asked. The first such course in Hungary was attended by a great number of interested people. (Those who had not signed up in time did not get in the course.)
Basically, even if someone had an idea of what such work means, everyone wanted to have “clairvoyance” in such questions (as well). Edith Kovács, for example, came to the course because it was held by Eckard Strohm, and that is guarantee enough for her that the course will be of great interest and use.
Attila Ács answered the questions “what did you expect and what did you receive?” very concisely: “I have read a lot of books in the past, and I expected the picture I have in my head to be clearer, which books are credible and which are not. I was also interested in the “technical” part of medial work, to see what actually happens in such a process. I believe that we received a pretty good summary of the topic, which answered most of my questions. I liked both the techniques and the experiences that I saw/felt rather precise results when we tried them out.” (Once again) we found out that there are far greater possibilities inside a human being that we would normally assumer. Having done the course, I also view medial work as something that requires more responsibility now. We also found out that if someone wants to seriously work in this field, it requires extensive practice and study. We heard examples of the mistakes that medial workers can make, and how this can be abused. Besides the many criticisms, we also learned, how all this can be done properly."
Attila Szilvási spoke a little more briefly of what he has received during the weekend: “Clearer knowledge, the clearing up of possible misunderstandings. A lot of exercises which bring me closer to self-knowledge. I also liked that we could ask a lot of questions in the beginning of the course to which we received satisfying answers. I also expected techniques for this kind of work.”
According to Edith Kovacs, the course: "Rather rugged, serious, and has made the techniques that I have often used intuitively more conscious and versatile. This course has also alerted me to putting negative, self-fulfilling prophecies in their place. Up till now, self-knowledge and responsibility was important, and this has only been made stronger by the course. The words that Eckard has repeated numerous times in courses, “practice, practice, practice…” I took home with me as sage advice. The goal is to know these techniques just like I had to know my times-tables when I was a child; even if they wake from my sleep.”
If ask questions of a grandmaster, we receive answers to a lot of questions that we would have previously not thought of. Sometimes it shows such a depth and seriousness of a certain topic – which is a great spiritual treasure – that I would previously not have imagined. One participant even expressed gratitude for the multitude of questions that were asked, because the answers were things that interested her as well.
During the course, I, too received a lot of information which helped me put the essence of medial work in its place, and I learned techniques which helped me clarify and focus my senses, avoiding incorrect and misleading information.
Closing question:
Why could this course be useful to others? According to Edith Kovács: “It gives one the possibility to realize such skills in oneself. With these skills and their advancement, one receives help for everyday life, and the possibility to help others. The view on the world also expands, giving one a new vantage point. Today we live off information, it is our world! Here one can learn how to retrieve information through others or one’s self.”
In finishing I would like to quote one of the useful thoughts that were heard during the course:
We have received a lot of useful and wonderful techniques, the professional use of which require a lot of practice. There will be those who put aside the material and are happy to have taken part in this course. There will be those who do some practice and will attain certain results. Those, however, who practice regularly and deepen what they have learned, further themselves through the acquired techniques will be able to reach the most advanced levels of medial work.
I thank the participants for sharing their thoughts and experiences.
Peace be with you,
